Week Of Prayer

Dromore took part in the first Global Week of 24-7 Prayer in September 2025.

We connected with neighbours across Dromore, Co. Down and the surrounding area, passing the baton of prayer day and night in our homes, on our streets and with our churches and Youth For Christ, seeking to encounter God’s presence and carry His heart for transformation into our town, country, and the nations.

Did you participate? Did you sense God nudging you towards a passage of scripture or that he’s speaking a message for us to hear or a picture to see? If so, could you share that with us please? There’s a simple form here.

Who’s Organising This?

A group of leaders from several of the churches and organisations in Dromore began meeting in 2024 with an interest in encouraging cooperation in youth work. As our friendships have developed, so has our desire to see our people, young and old, getting to know one another better. We trust that friendship with Jesus in the centre will lead to prayer, and that prayer will lead to transformation that blesses the whole community.

The 24-7prayer movement called the nations to pray throughout the first week of September 2025, and we responded to that call. The people involved to this point include folks belonging to the Church of Ireland, Elim, Methodist, Presbyterian and Reformed Presbyterian streams, along with Youth for Christ and support from 24-7prayer Ireland.
